On Thursday, December 20th, Rival Entertainment presents The Howling Tongues, The Pink Spiders and The Deacons live in concert at The Earl. Atlanta rockers won’t want to miss this event!
The Howling Tongues are creating a revival in the music scene, bringing back the roots of rock n’ roll with loud guitar amps, giant kick drums, fuzzy bass tones, over-driven organ, and raspy vocals. Heavily influenced by classic garage rock bands like The Stooges, Big Star, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and The Kinks, The Howling Tongues found their niche in their world of music and their live show proves that rock n’ roll isn't dead.
Few bands have been able to cash in on their bad habits and questionable life choices quite like power-pop band The Pink Spiders. The band, made up of members Matt Friction, JoCo and Joey B-Side have gained almost as much notoriety for their exploits, attitude and iconic look, as they have for the catchy and explosive sound they generate.
The Deacons are a four-piece group hailing from Tennessee. Their latest record, Bildungsroman, was released in 2017 and mixes sounds of hardcore punk, soul, blues and ska. The album title is based off of a German word meaning “a novel dealing with one’s formative years or spiritual education.”
Electrify your Thursday night with this lineup of awesome bands! This event is open to adults aged 21 and up. Advance admission is 10 dollars and day-of admission is 12 dollars.
